I Helen Douglas-Dufresne, have been doing walking camel safaris for the last 20 years in the Mathews-Ndoto region having witnessed the destruction of the Milgis ecosystem by the local communities who were unaware of its implications, either we did something or not- so the Milgis trust was born!

I am so happy for you all in this part of Kenya.
Pirjo, Finland, on 11 Oct 2009
This blog posting actually brought tears to my eyes. I’m so HAPPY for you and every animal and human being whose lives are going to be positively effected by this rain. If only western people would understand what are things which matter most in life and stop over using the natural resources of this beautiful planet. Us western people should take part of the blame why the Equatorial Eastern Africa is having to experience the effects of climate change is such a drastic way.

Absolutely brilliant news, hopefully the rains will continue and spread across the rest of Africa, it so needed.
